For the University of Minnesota's "Moving into the Next Technological Revolution" feature series, I worked on the front-end to showcase the U of M's impact in artificial intelligence.

To make these articles stand out from standard site pages, I created custom Drupal page layouts and styles that gave the whole series a distinct, cohesive visual identity. Working within our established design system, I focused on clean HTML/CSS components, a clear content hierarchy, and WCAG accessibility standards—ensuring the series was engaging to read on any device while staying easy for our team to manage.

An Interview with ChatGPT

For the article "An Interview with ChatGPT", which features a conversation between the writer and ChatGPT discussing the University of Minnesota, I created a mock chat section. Each text area animates as it enters the viewport, giving the impression of a dynamic conversation. On mobile devices, this display changes to mimic text message bubbles, while showing smaller images to allow for better readability.

You can see an example of code used for this on my CodePen.

Leading into the Future

"Leading into the Future" discusses the University of Minnesota's history with computing. To showcase this, I created a responsive timeline with images of different eras of computers. Each item of the timeline animates by sliding up on the middle line as the user scrolls.

You can see a sample of this code without animations on my CodePen.
